Staurolite, also known as Fairy Stone or Fairy Cross,
is a nesosilicate mineral that naturally occurs in cross shapes (cruciform).
Staurolite is an interesting mineral as it tells us the relative temperature and pressure of a metamorphic rock.
The colour is dark brown.
Chemical formula: Ca(Fe2+,Mg)2Al9(Si,Al)4O20(O,OH)4.
